All horses will be assessed on arrival and individual plans of care drawn up to accommodate particular needs.
Please remember that as this is a small yard we have more time to be extra vigilant in respect of your horse health and requirements and that as we are on site 24 hour care is available .
The following is an example of the standard service available for retirement livery.
When you decide to bring your older horse to The Yard, a stable is allocated to your companion throughout his/ her stay.
Stabling for 6 months on shavings.
Daily turn out (weather permitting)
Mucking out
Grooming
Rug change
Ad lib hay or haylage
Two hard feeds per day
Example: senior mix, 16 plus, alfalfa, plus supplements fruit and veg
Feet trim
Wormer
Evening skip out and check over
